Our friends at Sarum College have another rich and varied programme of short courses and events on offer this Spring Term: https://www.sarum.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/Spring-2026-Brochure.pdf
In the next few weeks they are running two courses led by prominent Methodists who are well-known and loved by many in the Southampton District.
On 28th January David Hollingsworth (Supernumerary in this District) will be leading an art day exploring how God continues to call us to new things, constantly surprising us throughout our lives. There will be opportunities to reflect on Gospel pen-portraits of Jesus and artwork from across the centuries as well as sharing in the creation of an original piece of art. Anyone who knows David will know that it will be a day of inspiration and surprises - anything could happen! https://www.sarum.ac.uk/short-courses/the-art-of-becoming-lifelong-vocational-discernment/
On 5th February Rachel Lampard (Director of Social Justice and Social Action and former Vice-President of Conference) will be leading a day considering how we put our faith into action by living out the Gospel of Justice. Many in this District will know that Rachel is a brilliant speaker and facilitator, both warm and inspirational; if you attended or watched Rachel's session at Methodist Conference in June, you may value this opportunity to have a full day to engage more deeply with the complex justice issues she raises. The course will be interactive and engaging, involving a mixture of input, discussion and reflection, as well as some practical activities. https://www.sarum.ac.uk/short-courses/faith-in-action-living-out-the-gospel-of-justice/
