The free event, organised by the Compass Project Portsmouth, saw more than 20 shops/ businesses in Copnor Road hiding Easter egg pictures in their windows for people to find.
The children taking part had to record the names of at least 5 of these shops/businesses and then find the Compass team in College Park to claim their free chocolate egg and an activity booklet sharing the real meaning of Easter. Also on offer at the park were some Easter crafts.
One parent said ‘The boys had a great time again this year doing the Easter egg hunt.’
Organiser Catherine Burt adds ‘It was great to see the children so excited to share where they’d seen the egg posters and to have the opportunity to chat more with them and their families. The shops who took part also said how lovely it was to hear and see everyone taking part.’
