We invite you again to our wonderful Ministers Conference! We encourage all to attend - presbyters, deacons, active and supernumerary! It really is a great opportunity to spend time with peers, escape the daily rush and have some rest amongst the learning.
Hosted on 26-27th January in Bournemouth, we look forward to welcoming you again for our usual midweek time of thinking, sharing and rest.
We will be led by Corin Pilling, Vocational Flourishing Officer with the Methodist Church. With a background in leading a church-based mental health charity, he brings a particular passion for leadership wellbeing and the realities of ministry under pressure.
Corin will be talking to us on the following topic: Flourishing in Hard Places
Over our time together, you are invited into a reflective journey alongside Elijah - tracing his path through courage, exhaustion, encounter, and renewal.
Through Scripture and shared reflection, we will revisit this story with fresh eyes- attending to God’s care and what it offers us as we seek to flourish in ministry today.
In demanding contexts where pressures weigh heavily on wellbeing, holding onto our calling can feel costly. This retreat offers space to pause, reflect honestly, understand more of what can practically help in these times, and discern fresh rhythms of life with God.
Together, we will explore how we are sustained-both inwardly and in the realities we face-seeking hopeful, practical ways to renew our sense of vocation.
