Lay Mission Enabler - Southampton Circuit
Waterside Methodist Church
Hours of work: 6 hours per week, to be worked flexibly, which will include weekends and evenings
Pay: £16.48 per hour
Duration: This role will cease on 31st August 2026
Place of work: Methodist Church North Road, Dibden Purlieu(Soul Café), with occasional work from home
Purpose of Role: To enable the Church to fully embrace their missional vision intentions.
To trial, instigate, enable and support missionally focussed initiatives at North Road, utilising the gifts and skills of the congregation, so that the Church will have agreed a clearly defined, tested and realistic written Mission Action Plan for 2026-27.

Children and Families Worker (P/T) - Southampton Circuit
Fixed Term Contract for 3 months at St James Road Methodist Church, Shirley
We are looking for a Christian with enthusiasm, passion and vision to work with us in developing our work amongst children, young people and families.
Recent experience of working with children and/or families in a voluntary or paid capacity is essential. The successful applicant will work as part of a team with the Minister and volunteers at the Church.
Salary £12.98 per hour
19 hours per week
This post currently has funding for 3 months to cover the absence of the postholder. The postholder will be employed by the Circuit but will be working at St James Road Methodist Church (St James Road, Shirley, Southampton, SO15 5HE).

Community Development Worker - Dorset South & West Circuit
The Dorset South and West Methodist Circuit is seeking an enthusiastic, missional person for the Full-time role of Community Development Worker (Easton), based at Easton Methodist Church (EMC), Portland, Dorset.
We seek someone able to be the embedded community leader of Easton Methodist Church (EMC), supported by the Minister, to reach deeper into the community, to share the truth and love of Jesus and to grow the community of faith. Our desire is that EMC is a flourishing and growing church, that seeks to actively support the people of Portland, under God’s grace in acts of worship, service and mission.
The applicant will be a team orientated collaborator, and a strong communicator, who is comfortable talking to people of all ages and all walks of life, sharing faith with those you meet.
The post is for 37.5 hours per week (Full-time), including some evenings and weekend work.
The salary is £26910 per annum. We provide the option to join our Pension scheme provided by NEST, with a 6% monthly contribution. Although not part of the renumeration package, if accommodation is needed this can be facilitated by negotiation.
